Media Player
Play any type of video file in a standard Access form without using any special ActiveX or OCX controls. Our player is a standard Access form using ordinary Access controls.
- Play any video file in a standard MS Access form which uses standard Visual Basic event code and calls to the standard Windows API.
- Play a video in a form, a sub-form or full screen. Includes all the usual video control buttons; open file dialog, play/pause, stop, loop this file, cycle all files in the play list, next, previous, stretch/restore, full screen, audio off/on and sliders for file position and audio level. All using completely standard Access form controls and event code.
- No need for you to install or distribute any special ActiveX or OCX files, it is made up with completely native Access and VB.
- It uses calls to the Windows MCI (Media Command Interface) winmm.dll which has been part of Windows since 95. You just import our video player form to your database - that's it!
- Plays any video file type for which you have the codec. Free codecs available for download online, just search for K-Lite Video Codec Pack (and others).
- Tested with many video file types on Access 2000, 2002(XP), 2003, 2007, 2010 and Windows XP2, Vista and Windows7
- Re-usable code, include it in as many databases as you like!
- You can easily change the format and colour scheme to suit your style. We have deliberately kept the form design rather basic and concentrated on functionality. You can "jaz up" the form and controls however you wish.
So Simple to Implement:
- Import the player forms in to your database.
- That’s it, you’re ready to go!
- Full instructions included.
